Miss Wiinholt’s Literary Salon and Afternoon Tea

Dearest Reader, 

It is very common for a young lady or gentleman to travel abroad to widen their horizons and learn about the world – and themselves.  

This librarian has already been on a short, but extensive journey through Japan. In preparation for the trip, a selection of delightful literature set in that distant land was, of course, quite essential. 

In this Literary Salon and Afternoon Tea, Miss Wiinholt will take you on a journey to talk about the many splendid works of literature that take place in countries where landscapes and costumes are very different to our own. Or are they?  

With a focus on Asian literature – k-healing, bookstores with cats, and magical coffeeshops where one can travel through time – there will be no shortage of literary treasures to discover. This genre is gaining quite a fanbase throughout the world, and we are excited to explore it. 

There will be plenty of time to discover different books and themes set across Asia, but also, naturally, to drink a lot of tea. 

This librarian hopes for the pleasure of your company on this captivating afternoon.
