Beginnings - Family Meet up

Are you a newcomer with children aged 0-2 years? Then "Beginnings – Family Meetup" is just the thing for you!  

In 2025, Biblioteket Sønderborg welcomes you to a fun family meetup in a cozy atmosphere, that can improve your child’s language development, create new relationships with other families, and where you gain insight into the library's many offers for you and your family. Together we explore how literature can enrich both you and your child's life!

What can you expect?  

• We will sing and play to stimulate the Danish language
• The librarians will recommend good books
• We read aloud to children and adults
• The librarians guide you on how to order books in your native language and use the library's digital services
• A break from everyday life with reading, playing, singing and having fun, where we also enjoy a cup of coffee, cake and child-friendly snacks

Practical information:

• We meet 5 Tuesdays in the spring:
  • The first time is on the 11th of March, and then we meet every Tuesday up to and including the 8th of April at 9.30-11.00 in Børnebiblioteket, Multikulturhuset Sønderborg.
• We meet 5 Tuesdays in the autumn:
  • The first time is on the 21st of October. and then we meet every Tuesday up to and including the 18th of November at 9.30-11.00 in Børnebiblioteket, Multikulturhuset Sønderborg.
• The course is in Danish with the option of an English translation if necessary.
• You may bring a pram with you, and it is possible to take a break during the day.
• You are welcome to register for both the spring and autumn seasons.

In order to participate, simply draw a ticket. This ticket is valid for the entire course.
